I knew there were other woodworkers out there who felt compelled to build a guitar before learning to play. I built the same stew Mac kit but with rosewood back and sides. Stew Mac has great service....
Start with the 2D views. You will want to draw to scale and the easiest way is to use an architects scale. It's triangular shape gives you 12 different scales. You want a ruler that includes scales...
If I recall, Ben and Jerry's ice cream also limited the pay ratio to 10:1 until they were bought out by one of the giant food corporations.I wonder what a Veritas ice cream scoop would look like?
Some guy named George Wilson will be giving a talk to the Potomac Antique Tool and Industries Association (PATINA) this Sunday, 9/15. According to the announcement, he'll bring some tools he made....
The decades old novel, "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance", explored this same topic using two friends who went on motorcycle trips together. One friend was all about the ride; the wind, the...

Btw, 0.012 is a bit more than a hundreth of an inch.
Haven't tried it. I use TSP dissolved in warm water. Gunk on blades and bits just melts away in seconds with nary any scrubbing. I can't imagine anything being easier.
Speaking of mouse pads. My company was tossing out boxes of mouse pads that had outdated logos. I grabbed a bunch and glued pairs back to back using spray adhesive. So now I had a double thick mouse...
I got a small Fein at a big sale at woodcraft, but now that I've used it for several years, I'd happily pay full price. Being able to vacuum without donning ear plugs makes me smile every time I turn...
