Philip,
PA cherry is darker and red in color. Most of the cherry in Iowa is pinkish. And you kind find small mills that charge .60 a bdft. I also like the small mills because the wood has...
I was worried about the moisture as well, so I'm laying down 5 mil plastic under everything. And yep thanks the article in FW
I have a one car garage and have the same issue with heating. My walls and ceiling are all insulated and sheetrocked, but my floors get really cold. so I'm going to try the floating floor that was in...
Have you looked at the dehumidification kilns? simple design, quick stable drying and compact design.

try a program called snapstream. I've had it since it first came out and it's great and easy to use. costs about $50. I have it hooked to my sat. and ant. aand it just sits there and records, I can't...
I have the Jet and it works great. small 400 sqft shop.
I have the jet 12" jointer/planer and love it. Small and powerful, and great for my 1 car garage shop. can't beat having a 12" jointer, I buy rough lumber, and also cut my own and alot of the boards...

Edward,
what did that board cost, i"ve heard that wood from "The Tree" was running up around $200 Bdft - if you could find anyone that would part with it.
put everything on wheels, and put up a lot of shelves. small spaces can work fine, just need the space for what your working on. I wheel out the tool, do the work, put it back.
at least 50%, my average board size is over 8". I moved up to a JJP-12. no more cutting boards down to fit.
