Wow, that's a steal. I paid a lot more than that for mine last year. I'm tempted to drive down from Austin just to have two. :)
I have an FS41E. Also be happy to chat about it.
I like it. I'd be interested in this solution.
I've been thinking of doing the same thing. It gets clogged quite a bit from the FS41e with Tersa knives too.
That's a good bandsaw. What are you replacing it with?
I would check the adapters that tighten the saw on the track. If it's not tight on the track it could be leaving an undesirable edge.
My G700 will be delivered tomorrow. Hoping it's everything I'm expecting it to be.
Looks like the exothermic reaction of the epoxy. It will start forming patterns as gasses are released. Usually want to come back and make a pattern before it starts setting.
Congrats Jim! I finally fired up my new SC4e and FS41e a couple weeks ago.
I also go to Fine Lumber. What other options do you know of in Austin because that's really the only one I know of. I'm in Leander.
I’ll throw out there that I have several machines coming up for sale. Two, of which, are jointers. Well, ones a combo. I have an 8” Grizzly G0500 and a Grizzly G0634 12” combo, with the helical head....
I'd suggest the Rockler Material Mate. I have one and it's pretty nice.
Bryan, I'm in Leander too. When do I get to come over and check out those toys? :-) I'm purchasing a slider but haven't decided on which one yet.
I'm also in Leander. Looks like a nice machine.
I figured it wouldn't be popular. :-) I told the GC no texture. Thanks!
Hey Folks, my new workshop is about complete. Here in Texas homes have textured walls and the GC planned for textured in the shop. I feel texture on the walls would collect dust but wouldn't be a big...

I'm 37 and started turning back in 2005 when my wife gave me a Delta Midi Lathe for Christmas. I was hooked but eventually wanted to get into larger materials so I purchased a Nova DVR XP 3 years ago.
