Sorry, forgot to mention, it is an old 4 post 13" planer
lost my setting jig in a move, and I need to change the knives.
Anyone out there know the proper height?

I cut off squares from an old trailer tire and nailed them to the bottom of my legs. works great, and grips the concrete to boot!

Delta can be had for $110 now. works great, after a couple of hours of fiddling. FYI, use a dial indicator to square it up with your blade. mine was out 90 thousands to start. Within 1-2 thousands...

I have a honda EU5500.
I can run well pump, boiler (with superstore for hot water), and any room (One at a time). I plug into a dryer outlet after shutting the main off. works well.

Insulaton is always a good choice. Keeps you cool/warm and with less cool/warm cycles, helps with condensation.
I second the vsct fence. very versatile. best option out there, and portable to future saws.
Might want to try posting at old woodworking machines also. I have a similar saw which does not have the lag you describe. Keep lubricating and working it if it has been used little or not at all for...
I just uncovered a brand new set of plug cutters I purchased and promptly forgot about.
