I think your piece is beautiful.
We are on Maynardville side. Would like to be in north Knoxville area so we can be closer to our build site, but not to far from Knoxville as we will be running around picking out finishes and...
I’m becoming very aware of that! Problem is we aren’t moving until April, and I’m the kind of guy who needs to know where I’m going. Might have to pay a few months rent and not use it!
Also don’t know why,but when I attach pics they are upside down, tried everything, can’t fix it!
I agree on River tables, hairpin legs and epoxy. I think epoxy is o/k on a bar top, but that’s it. I think live edge is great
in the right setting. I love it in rustic homes or even a special piece...
Thank you so much, a very generous offer. I may very well make take you up on it. We will be down again soon. I need to find a place
to live while my house is being built. Another daunting task!
Norris lake, Knoxville area. We are doing a 3 car garage with a shop attached in an L shape. All approved. My issue with a shipping container is, it is going to be a pretty heavy construction zone,...
Kind our thought. We are looking for a rental now with a 2 car garage.
Thanks Clark. It is tough leaving here. It’s beautiful. Unfortunately the politics and taxes are crazy. Thus we are out of here!
Thanks, that’s a very nice offer, but we are building on Norris lake. Will be living near Knoxville until house is built.I suspect that’s a fair distance from you. Thanks again.
Thanks for all the reply’s. Can’t put a storage unit in the property, so that’s off the table. I don’t really know when my new home
will be finished. Will be at least a year, probably more. I’m...
I’m getting ready to retire and building a new home in Tennessee. My house and shop won’t be done for a year. I estimate the cost to move my shop and store it ( I was thinking a pod) will be...
My grizzly 17 inch bandsaw works flawlessly. Very happy with it.
I have a slab of highly spalted maple and am going to make coffee table with it. I’m
looking for suggestion on the best way to stabilize and fill it in as it has quite a few
worm holes and cracks...
I had a 14” ridgid band saw that I tried like heck to use for everything. As I don’t do much resawing I thought for the few times I did need to resaw,I could get by with it. So I put a riser block...
Maybe so, but I’ll bet not a day goes by where some very skilled people have saw accidents. I myself know multiple people who have done construction their whole life’s, that are missing digits....
I cringe watching how close they are to those blades with no guards. I’ll bet thousands of people got maimed doing that work.
.
Fred, I bought the Bauer 15 gauge finish nailer and it’s been great. Have shot thousand of nails through it without a single jamb. Works much better than my Bostich.
I love it for those times when you really need a power tool but rarely need it. I remember years ago most specialty tools were so expensive that renting one was your only option. You had to call...
Thanks Fred, my apologies for misinterpretation of your post. 🙂
I detect a note of sarcasm Fred. Sorry if I offended you.
Lol, ok,ok let me explain. I have a pretty eclectic tool collection, Festool,Grizzly,Bosch,Ridgid etc. Sometimes you just need a tool that you rarely need, but have a need sometimes. So for me,I...
Have the X2BF, glad I did, I don’t always fully apply the brake, but it kills the saw motor when you tap on it. I find it’s easier than hitting the switch when your handling larger pieces. My basic...
Mine broke off years ago, been discontinued for years. I made a wood handle for mine. I keep thinking
at some point I’m going to buy a new cabinet saw,but this saw works to darn good,so I bought a...
I have had a GO634 for around 12 years now. Works great for me. Easy change over. I have the
helical head which works great on figured Woods. Sometimes I wish it was 16”. But a great machine
for...
