YES! Cope your inside corners!
The termites will leave/die as soon as they are cut off from the ground (that's where their nest is). Saw it and stack it and you'll be fine.
I have a Woodmizer without hydraulics and thus have to load and turn my logs manually.
By far the best deals on log handling tools are found at http://www.logrite.com/
Scott, $16/ft is ridiculous. When I price my jobs I figure my cost for green cypress cut to size will be $1.25/bdft--$6/lineal ft for 8x8.
Keep looking, maybe closer to the coast.
Yer in Georgia--use Cypress.
Call some lumber yards and ask them who supplies them with dimensional cypress and then get that mill to cut your order to spec.
When you get to the building...
I've done this on my Woodmizer by strapping the log to the mill's frame for the first cut and then screwing a piece of plywood to the resulting face and clamping it to the bed rails.
I've also...
I just made $1600 in 8 hours today with my 101 year old bandsaw--I don't think age is an issue.
The orientation of the growth rings in adjoining pieces can cause this.
If one side of the joint is more quartersawn, it will shrink more than an adjoining piece that is more plainsawn due to...
I feel like you are talking about me, Mark (I'm not sure why you don't post using your own name).
It took awhile to get back to you last time you contacted me because you offered no real...
When I saw for other folks I usually recommend that they get bundles of 8' 1x2 (3/4"x1 1/2") and cut them in half.
Leave your rails a little wide and cut the whole edge on your sled or miter guage.
I've got a 1907 36" American and a 32" Crescent. On both the bolts on the ways are snug but still allow the upper assembly to move when the tensioning wheel is used.
I tighten my blade until it...
If you need to joint your plywood, do it--that's why you have the tool.
I do it all the time as I rarely see good machine edges on the plywood sold these days. When I do it, I slide my fence all...
I use one and like it but it doesn't spin so I don't think you'd get good feathering on bondo.
If you do get one, pay attention to that sliding switch that changes the orbit size--I just had to...
I'm working on this one right now.
I've had more than 2 dozen cubs through my shop in the last 2 weeks cutting out cars, polishing axles and lathing the outside diameter of wheels.
I'm glad...
If anyone gets serious about this, I'd be happy to send you my Illustrator (PDF) or TurboCad layouts for the board.
When I made my board, I didn't have any laser engravers available but that would certainly be an alternative. Also, many custom printers can now handle plywood for making point of purchase displays....
Paul,
Use my AD wood as it's acclimated to Memphis EMC and won't warp after you resaw it.
Scott
Still here--building more than sawing but loving that Woodmizer every time I slick up one of my 20" wide planks ;-)
The person I made that board for didn't really want the tiles colored snd it's used in competitions.
If I had needed to color the tiles, I figured it would be easy enough just to tint the laquer...
I'll take a picture of one of the misprinted grids today and post it tonight.
It was all really easy but a little time consuming. I think I ended up figuring that I would need to charge $350 or...
Does that mean you're are going to see Arkansawyer? If so, tell him Scott says "hi".
I made this one . . .

I layed out the game board in Adobe Illustrator leaving 1/8" stripes for the raised inlays and then silk screened it onto birch...
Terry,
The Timbor won't have penetrated very far in dry cherry--it penetrates much further when applied to wood above 20% MC.
When I apply it to wood that is already dry (8-12%), I do 2...
It will work fine as long as the depth of cut is sufficient to joint the entire face in one pass and any twist in the board is balanced--I sometimes slip a wedge under the high trailing corner of a...
