Is it a one-piece fence? If so, I bet the two sides are bent / twisted / etc. relative to each other. Same could be true of a two-piece fence, but I can't help you with that.
Here's...
Hi Dee -
Don't know the age of your tables, but the surface of many OLD lab tables was soapstone. Pretty much impervious to everything, except abrasion. Usually deep charcoal gray / near black;...
Hi Clisby,
The requested narrow width of 30" may be necessary because the floor space on which the table will sit is narrow. If this is so, you may want to investigate making the table taller --...

I thinned Porter "Super Premium Silken Touch" latex to near water consistency to paint some plastic light and recepticle plates. Thinned with FloeTrol and water. Sprayed...

Here is a slide show of the one that I designed for my BS. It's a simple "TEE". The "TEE" slides on two machine screws inserted into existing threaded holes in the infeed side of the table....
Hi Dave,
I use plastic drafting triangles. Five-cut method to fine tune 90* miter.

I don't know if your Craftsman saw has a split fence or a one-piece fence.
The one-piece fence on my 12" HF SCMS was not straight. Like your saw, a workpiece registered against the left...

I used super glue to apply 1/4" molding to make fake window muntin inserts. Worked fine. The pieces were about 6" long. Might be more difficult to position long pieces properly before the...

For frame and panel doors, I mount the top hinge with the top of the pin in line with the bottom of the top rail. And the bottom hinge with the bottom of the pin in line with the top of the bottom...

I agree 100%. Bob is a great guy and a friend to woodworkers.

Your rocker is timeless. And the history of the design makes it really special. Thanks for posting multiple pics ... each view shows more of the classic details.

You're right. The jig is clamped to the miter fence. To make the pins, the miter fence is angled to the blade. A dado blade is much faster for cutting the pins than a standard blade....
I use Lynn's Jig for cutting box joints and for cutting dovetails on my table saw. I use a dado blade for box joints and for pins on dovetails - to save some knob turning.
The jig can make...

I'm sure that this thread has given a lot of woodworkers a better understanding of the geometry of a saw cut.
Even if your blade is slightly out of alignment with the miter slot, here...
Build a simple tenoning jig. Mine strattles the rip fence and has vertical surfaces parallel and perpendicular to the fence.
Cut wedges at the angles needed for the angled tenons.
