Chuck, Excellent work!
When you get the time it would be interesting for you to describe your molding process. I'm sure that many here would love to see how you accomplished that.
Thanks...
The depthmap is too large to put on the creek, so anyone that would like the file just send me a PM with your email and I would be happy to send it to you.
Hi All,
Wow! It's been a long time since I've gotten around to post...been lurking daily though....;o)
When time permits (not often anymore) I try to do a little play time in the shop. I noticed...
....Thanks!
The use of the Corian adhesive is a great idea and one that I haven't tried yet. I bet that would work well.
On my next corian purchase I'm getting some of the adhesive.
...
Corian is great and very easy to work with. I route it using standard colbalt router bits...nothing special as all that I have used so far work equally well. I don't know about formig Corian as I...
Well...thanks to all for the 'very deep insights' to dye-sub. I can understand the problem with ink jets clogging up and the need to keep the print heads 'fluid' by often use. My Roland would do the...
I'm kinda thinking of adding dye-sub capability to my shop but I'm unsure what type of printer to go with. There are inkjets and there are laser printers and I don't know the pro's and con's of...
Barb,
I don't use Rowmark, but I use IPI...pretty much the same thing. I had the same problem and solved it by simply 'turning off the air assist'. Without the air assist there is virtually 'no'...
Gary,
You hit the nail on the head! That solved that problem completely. Thanks for the help...I don't know how long it would have taken for me to have found my way to the color tab in the print...
Ok, I set the color management of "Simulate Color Management off", but it had no affect on the engraving. It still will only engrave the text.
Nope...that didn't work either
Tony,
If you're around take a look at this and see what the problem might be...
This file is in X4 format and I can engrave it with no problem using X4. When I load it into X5 the only thing...
You got my hopes up on this one Tony...
but...
mine didn't change..:confused:

Scott,
Raster instead of vector cutting. Use a high power, low speed & 600 dpi and it will give you sharp edges and no melting.
I don't know what triggers it, but I'll try and take note the next time it happens as to what I was doing just before it happens and let you know what I was doing at the time.
Tony,
I haven't experienced the problems you mentioned and my print dialog comes up in less than a second, but let me ask if this one has come up...
Quite often Corel gets mixed up in the Open...
Edward, I use the following settings on my 75w and it works great on the Gold Alumimark.
Speed = 30%
Power = 10%
DPI = 600
Adjust the focus just a little 'beyond' perfect focus for best...

Steve,
I use a hyperdermic syringe with a blunt metal needle (similar to the one shown at the link below). This allows controlled application of the Weld-On right at the point of contact where the...
Ahhh...Thanks Tony...and I thought I looked 'everywhere' for it.
Tony,
I upgraded yesterday from X4. Great product! Today, while using X5, I had a need to use the 'Create Boundary' function.....and oooops! It's not in the menu anymore!
I checked the help...
Very, very good! What flavor of Corian did you use?
The green paint fill, I think, would set it off!
Thanks!
Thanks Keith....and I really mean 'THANKS!'...you taught me all I needed to know on this Corian stuff...
Yes...I'm hooked ;)
Thanks Dee, Yes, I have come to LOVE Corian. It is a charm to route, almost like going thru putty. Engraving is pretty tough though...I have cut thru 1/2" Corian on my system, but would not want to...
