Any other panel optimization software for a Mac?
Thanks, Jim. I have since put them on my wish list on Amazon. There is one other item I have to check on locally before I push the checkout button.
A very generous fellow from another forum had upgraded his older Unilift and made me a deal I could not refuse. It arrived and my 7518 fits perfectly. It came with two of the three table inserts.....
Google 'crowdfunding.' Interesting concept.
I use the aluminum clamps almost exclusively. That said, they, like any clamp, are not designed for super cranking. They are for well made joinery. I like them because they are light and do not...
Thanks or that tip, Van.
The sidewinder accessory is a bit pricey but I have a flex shaft left over from my ShopSmith days (if I can find it) and I could fabricate something. Once I set up the table, I'll learn what is more...
Turns out a very generous fellow made me a deal I could not refuse and I will be getting an older Woodpecker model. Let you know when it arrives.
Gonna save the bucks for a Woodpecker SW420. After weeding out the lifts for plunge routers and concentrating on lifts that can handle the hefty 7518, I am gonna spend over $300. However, my issue...
Thanks, Pat, but the desire for a router lift is because bending is an issue. Looked at Woodhaven. Had your hands on one? Seems like accuracy may be an issue.
I want to put my PC 7518 in a lift without without breaking the bank. Recommendations from actual users, please.
There is also a whole lot of lathe envy out here!!!
Love it! :)
One group run to ground recently had stolen a Caterpillar tractor, torched it into several chunks and sold it as scrap metal. Seems like a table saw would be much easy to cut up!
But I do agreed,...
Thanks for the link, Bob.
Thanks for the link!
The large free standing building I call shop -24' x 36' - is far enough away from the house that I am concerned that I cannot hear someone lurking about.
Concerns are that methhead robberies are...
Good question, Greg.
Hope he responds openly.
Rather than tube fluorescents, I have 30 of the clamp lights with 27 watt daylight cfl's in them. There are nearly no shadows in my nearly 900 square foot shop. They are on a five foot grid from...
I would consider opening the floor and cross-bracing the dickens out of the floor joists where the machine sits. The concrete pan, as in the shower, and the rubber pad can't hurt either. FWIW,...
Congrats. Great lathe. I have the 220V 2 hp model. Love it.
From a woman's POV and for the sake of resale down the road, I would find a solution to the vibration and fix that. Running down to the basement with arm loads of dirty clothes only to run back...
I had to abandon my build earlier in the year because I had to move. I sold the parts I had and that gentleman has already posted his finished machine. Bless him! So I am starting over. Here are...
Interesting. What do you base that thought on? I have a published book and the royalties were less than 1% of the retail cost. Just sayin...
Interesting. Daniel. I am in the market for some kind of DC. If you are serious, I'd like to stop by and look at it. I am in the Las Vegas area but am on my way through your neck of the woods...
