Turned out to be a slightly loose x-axis belt.

Got a new lens, and still having the same problem. I think it has something to do with the x axis.

Should be receiving a new lens very soon. I'll keep you guy posted. Thanks for all the help.

Yes, only the vertical lines are off. I thought it may be the lens, but now that I engraved the grid, i'm thinking it's something else.

There is a trace function in Illustrator. First use file/place to put in the jpg, then goto edit/live trace. Hope that helps.
