It doesn't come with a plug at all. I used a NEMA 6-20 straight blade with ground 250VAC plug from Home Depot. They also have the matching receptacle.

I got the Rikon that Wally mentions. I am very happy with it. I got it on sale for $100 off at Woodcraft. Much better resaw capacity than my old Delta 14" one.

I really love this bowl. Don't sell yourself short you did a superb job. Great photos too.

Joshua,
For what it is worth I live in Salt Lake too. Orders from McMaster Carr do not get here the next day. It usually takes a few days for me to get my orders with the normal shipping.

Chris

I am so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing that there are many of us thinking and praying for you.

I have a similar problem. I can't remember where I read it but I saw an article that claimed it can actually be caused by the lathe running too fast. I think it helped me a little when I slowed it...
I got the DVD yesterday. I will watch it and pass it on. Thanks Mike and thanks John for originating the excellent idea and for providing this particular DVD.
Chris
I'll borrow it if it isn't already gone.
Thanks.
Chris
Rob,
The Bill Grumbine DVD is well worth the price. I am sure it would help you tremendously. I found it very useful even after I had turned a couple of bowls.
Good luck.
Chris
Thom,
I got the Penn State adapter that adapts 1-1/4" 8 to 1" 8 http://www.pennstateind.com/store/LA11418.html It seems to work just fine for me. It was only $20 which was even cheaper than an...
Jeff,
I think you could charge a nominal fee for the plans, I'm sure there are lots of people here who would be willing to pay for them. I know I am always willing to pay for an innovative idea...
Does anyone know if the PSI collet chuck uses the same collets as the Beall chuck? I believe ER 32, is that right?
Thanks,
Chris
Bruce,
Thanks for the great instructions on how to make one. That is exactly what I am going to do.
