Recently finished my 26 x 34 shop. It's 2x4 construction on a slab, sheathed and sided with Hardie, five windows, single entry and barn style doors. The roof is metal. I hired out the slab and the...
+1 for OSB
+1 for semigloss white paint over a primer.
If two coats covers it you're lucky.
Everything I had was rusting until I put in a dehumidifier.
That fixed it.
How about a 1/4" sheet of hardboard?
What it gets funky, replace it.
Did you mean hardboard for the replaceable top or Hardie Board? Big difference.
As expected, no one even tried to talk me out of it and I didn't chicken out. The IR is now sitting in the shop humming away. Well, not exactly humming but a lot quieter than my old oilless.

Well the tax man has come and gone and I still have some skin left, sooo...it's time to buy a tool.
My trusty 10 year old Air Charge (aka Devilbis) 4hp, 12 gal portable has given up the ghost. ...
I like the plunge base but find swapping between the two is a nuisance.
I wouldn't mind having two 690s so I wouldn't have to deal with it.
Jeff, I like the extension/router table but what I really like is the miter station in the background of a couple of your shots. Any chance of posting some closer shots of that. I getting close to...

I never got consistent picture frame quality miters on a CMS. Try a miter sled on a table saw instead.
I went with pure semi gloss white ceiling, off white semi gross wall and the tan epoxy floor with sprinkles. The shop is ~1Ksf with 10' walls. Walls are OSB. It took about 8 gal of primer (2...

Thanks to all for your replies.
After finding out others have had this problem I did a little research on old posts. It seems there is overload protection built into the switch.
This can be...
I folks, I'm haviing trouble with my saw and am hoping someone can help before I try Customer Support.
I worked the saw all day yesterday, nothing serious just 3/4 ply but off and on all day.

Today I've been building cabinets for the new shop and put together the face frames using pocket screws. The old saying 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't' comes to mind. Pocket...
David is correct, also wood moves most actross its width, not length. Narrow edging strips should pose no problem.
Another vote for the Rust-Oleum. Went down easy. I've had to down for over a year. I've dropped all sorts of heavy things on it - no chips. I've spilt oil and paint on it - cleans easy and leaves...
Let us know how that works.
Porter, I agree with Greg. I've been using a 690 in a dirt simple table for years, built an entire kitchen with it. I'm ready to begin my dream table now, but when I first started I had no clue...
Thanks to all of you that responded to my last question about mounting the router to the table saw.

I've just scored a PC 7518 router and a Woodpecker lift.
I'll be tossing the old table I threw together a few years ago and am researching what sort of new table to build.
I'm torn between a...
Greg, thanks for the link. You are right that it is a Woodcraft specific deal. While my faith in corporate America is pretty shakey of late, it is, at least, restored in this case,
