yep... my shellac flakes nearly doubled due to bad conditions for the bugs... 1 lb of flakes now is almost 30 bucks....

Steven,I have no vibration with mine, the belt deflection is under 1/2". I will say that my upper wheel wasn't true with the bottom wheel, and needed adjusting..that may be something to look at.

yes there is.... higher import tariffs on those products that went overseas. to make our USA made products lower priced( in order to compete), means to lower wages/material costs/manufacturing...

it' will definately affect prices shown on newer tools, should that happen(higher wages)..like previous statedm, it was inevitable, as humans are humans, and when they see how much more $$ they can...

I don't know if they're Carters' or not, but my Grizzly 14" machine has rollers... they ARE noisey. they work great, but I can tell if the pressure is too high(set too close to blade) by the increase...

Gary..I don't have that particular planer. I have the 12.5" Grizzly. I've planed many,many boards thru that lil thing ovber the past 6 or 7 years. no compalints at all. I will say this, tho.......
