Question about Milwaukee random orbit sander

    Hello,
I'm looking at a Milwaukee random orbit sander at my local HD. It's a 3 amp, 5 inch, with variable speed (7000-12000) for $69.95. Has anyone had any experience with this one? It looks good to me, but what do you think?

    ros tool test

In a recent tool test the Milwaukee random orbit sander was rated a best buy and was almost as good as the new porter cable 390 which was the top sander and cost is about $129.00. Hope this helps. Jim Geus

I have one and really like it. Milwaukee comes with both hook & loop and PSA disks. Have used PC angle head type before but they are a bit heavy.

    Both are good.

I got one after seeing the WOOD magazine recommendation. Best sander I've ever used.

I have one also....drilled a few extra holes in the Hook and Loop base and use the Mirka Abranet discs...hooked up to a low end shop vac I get little to no dust unless the disc is over an edge, love it. I had the Ridgid ROS previously, dust and vibration were both far worse.

I too read the article in Wood Mag and it inspired me to get the Milwaukee ROS when it came time. Well I went from a Mouse sander to this one and i love it.

I need a new ROS as well. Does anyone have experience with the duel mode variety. Which Milwaukee model are you referring to?
