This morning, I was going through some digital pictures and came across this TV Stand I completed in 2007. It's made from Solid Cherry with Poplar Drawers.
I cannot remember the exact dimensions, but it was designed to elevate a new HDTV approximately 7.5" in an existing built-in that was designed for a 4:3 analog TV, so the stand was built to fit the existing built-in. I absolutely love the top and wish that a big TV was not sitting on top of it. If I knew the grain would have looked like this before assembly, I would have used the wood for something else.
I finished it using 4 coats of General International Wipe-on poly.
Now for the shameless plug... All the cherry was purchased from fellow Creeker Tom Sontag at Lumber Logs. If you are from St. Louis or the surrounding area, you have to check out their selection.
Enjoy.
