Here's a Black Cherry bowl I re-turned a few days ago, it had a surprise knot in it, gives it some eye appeal

Leo, Very nice bowl and a good one to be used and loved! I could sit in front of the TV watching a good movie with it full of popcorn! I enjoy your simple and pleasing designs. Lots of mine won't hold any thing with the holes in them!
Have a great day,
Jeff

Leo,
I'm a huge fan. Love the form. Excellent job!
Keep 'em coming.
Woodturning is WAY more fun than watchin' TV. Stand up and make a bowl today.

Leo, nice form and I agree the knot gives is some extra eye appeal. I like the simple shapes.
Leo, you definitely have an eye for what the tree is hiding inside. I'm sure everyone looks forward to seeing the pictures that you post......Tony
Very nice work once again Leo! Love the classic shape and the undercut rim! Proof once again that a turning doesn't have to be fancy to grab your attention!

do youneed a speacial tolls or is it just some careful work with the gouge
If you sit around waiting for life to happen, it never will.
Hi John, thanks
No I don't use any special tools John, yes always very careful going in with a conventional sharpened gouge, takes a bit of practice, I like the looks of a undercut rim on some bowls
Have fun and take care
Very nice looking bowl. Really like the end grain on the rim.
Another winner Leo, always love your work and this one is no exception!!
If at first you don't succeed, look in the trash for the instructions.
Thanks for commenting Jeff
T'was a pretty good piece of Cherry, just a couple of small checks in the little branch knots, but all nice and solid, it will be much nicer I when the color has matured some I think, that's my fav' look of Cherry
