    Advice on older FS30

There's an older Mini Max FS30 for sale in my area for $1300. The guy claims it's in good condition with low usage. It has a 3hp motor, pork chop guard, and 2 sets of (non-Tersa) knives.

What do you guys think? Is this a good deal? Would you buy it if you were in the market? I'm not sure what's different between the older FS30 and the newer FS30 Smart.

If I were in WA I'd be over there buying it while you're here asking questions about it. For $1300 I'd figure out a way to shoehorn it into my shop.

I'm counting on the honorable natures of the people on this board to prevail.

The main concern I have is that all the info I find is about post 2000 models. He claims he bought this in '93 and I'm not sure if there have been any drastic improvements made in the new models in the fence, cutterhead, or switching (read: cranking).
