    Bed with Pics

    Hello All...

    I just completed this, solid maple..Finished with padded on shellac, bed bolts for all the joints...Thought it came out pretty good!

    Looking good Nate!! Are the posts glue ups or were you able to find some that thick? Nice job!!
    If at first you don't succeed, look in the trash for the instructions.

    Nate,
    I think it came out pretty darn good too!! Have you taken it for a test drive yet? Did you create a slat system with a middle support?

    That is really nice. LOML has a bed frame on the wish list, I just haven't gotten the confidence to move to something that large yet.

    Ted,
    That is basically what I did, I ran a piece that was roughly 6/4 thick and 6 inches wide down the center of the bed and mortised it into the head and foot board. I also put a adjustable foot on the bottom of the board to give it some extra strength and stability. It is definitely a solid bed!
