    9 1/4" x 5 1/2'' x 1 3/4" high. The proportions are really key on a piece like this. The top is divided at a point where each door is approx. the golden section

    proportions... one running the long direction and the other the short direction. They compliment each other and balance without the large one being to dominant

    That is simply gorgeous. Kudos for the work. I assume from the commentary that the design is a Singer original? Also, I assume it's solids, not veneers?

    Thank you for sharing. That shape and wood selection is inspiring.

    It is original...
    This type of box has been done before. This design is fresh with the 2 doors and the shape . Solid zebra and wenge left over from furniture projects, Finish is Daly's Ben Matte. wet sanded with w &d 400

    Mark, simply fantastic! Perfect choice of wood for this one with the grain that just pleads for you to follow it around the whole piece. The whole piece just cries out to be looked at and examined. And with all the car references, this should be on Top Gear! Just perfect. It's amazing to me that these little projects can be just as rewarding as the big ones. They're certainly as much fun to look at.
