    Smile Woody Classic Harley-Davidson

My woodworking has taken on a life of its own.

I found a very unique platform that I covered with wood.
I love to ride and what better way to show off my woodworking skills.
My 2000 Harley was the perfect choice.
All the trim pieces are protected with automotive urethane.

That is absolutely gorgeous! I often thought about doing something like that to mine, but never did..... Truly a one of a kind.

The gas tank details are VERY cool! My favorite part on your hog.

Cool doesn't even begin to describe this project. I'm not a rider, but my dad & uncle are, so this is getting forwarded to them.

Very Cool!!!! I am sure people have asked if you could do that for them....

A biker and a woodworker, best of both worlds!! Your ride looks amazing I cant imagine the hours that must have taken. Do the grips ever get slick or does your gloves take care of the slipping?
I like how you renamed it the Woody Classic!!
    Excellent job!!

    Mark, very nice.

Would you please upload some pictures here to SMC? That is our preferred method for showing projects so that the content stays with the thread into the future!

I really loved the zebra wood conference table, but I'm not sure about wood on a bike. I prefer chrome!

Seriously though, you do beautiful work.

Mark, that’s really impressive! I hope it works out long term but I have always wondered what the UV would do to the wood/finish after a year or so. You may have to refinish it every year or two.

Fabulous. Really too much! I like it, I like it. Chrome now seems so last year.

Did you consider a spar varnish/urethane for exposure to the elements?

    Kurya who? Cocobolo billet?

Looks mighty fine, now all ya gotta do is get a real motorcycle to dress up, ya know, one that wasn't designed by yer grandpa!

hmmmm, now I'm thinkin', where can I use some purpleheart on my STeed?.... Maybe I'll just trim out my trailer instead....

Very nice work Mark. I hope it stands the test of time. Looking forward to warm weather and getting back on the road myself. 02RKC
