    My weekend project

Built this garden bench for my daughter this weekend. I used U-bild plans from Grizzly. Had to modify the size somewhat so it would fit on my daughters balcony at her Apt in Dallas. I had to put the armrests to the inside to make it shorter, plus I shortened the frame to 58 inches. The wood is from a local bandsaw mill and I planed it in my shop. The finish is 5 coats of EM 6000 satin waterborne lacquer. My first experience with this product. I like it a lot.

Next weekend you can make me one. LOL Really nice and you did a quick build on it also. You wife must not have a cell phone.

Nice work Herbert! Looks really comfy: dished out seat and lightly reclined back, with a shared table for beers!

I took about 3 weeks to build an adirondack loveseat, so you're doing great.

You did an excellent job, Herbert. I really like the design. Nice choice of wood for outside with little up-keep. Your daughter should be proud.

Cool bench - Is the color variation in cedar a sap wood vs heart wood thing?
