    How to repair roof sheathing?

The front left corner of the roof has the edges of the sheathing damaged. Are there any clever tricks that you can share with me on how to go about repairing such a damage. From the looks of it, seems like only the front exposed area is damaged.

    general repair is done by
    removing shingles,
remove damage sheet (or rip the sheet in half, 2' wide)
    and replace sheathing
    reshingle

without knowing what the exact damage is or seeing pictures it is hard to determine exactly what should be done

First of all, the edge of your sheathing shouldn't be able to be seen. This is probably why you have the damage. If at all possible, run a drip edge around the perimeter to close off the exposure to the ply edge. (after repair of course). You could optionally run a small trim piece around to cover the exposure. This option might be simpler on an existing roof.
