    I actually won something!

Wow!! I'm still kind of pinching myself.

I'm that guy who always enters the raffles, 50-50's and giveaways like this but never seems to win so this is great.

This will be my first real piece of wood and now I have the pressure of actually making something with it to show you all!! Definetly something to think about for this newbie!!

A huge thanks to Shiraz and Grizzly for donating the wood for the giveaway.

A second huge thanks to Glenn, Keith and the other mods and admins that make SMC such a great, and friendly, place to be for both the noob like me, and the experienced experts, hobbiests and professional woodworkers that post here!!

First ideas for this wood are to create a panel for a small table top of some kind to show off it's grain.

I've got the table saw, just picked up a used Dewalt lunch box planer and am on the hunt for a good deal on a jointer to be able to work with rough cut wood like this.

Now to find someone with a bandsaw near me that I can use to cut this up into pieces for a panel glue up or something.

I promise pics and details of everything I do with this gorgeous hunk of prime wood.
