You know, some people have all the luck

A friend was in my business today and mentioned he was getting a lathe. To my knowledge this is a guy that has not turned in the past.

"What are you getting" I asked.

    "Powermatic 90"

    "How much?"

"The guy needed space so he gave it to me but it is three phase."

"That will cost you to covert."

"No, he said he has a phase converter that he will give me too."

Geez, some people could fall into an outhouse and come out smelling like a rose.

Toney - that is great news! Always happy to hear when someone who is getting a lathe that was no longer wanted! Hate to see good equipment go to waste!

Now you can help out your friend by showing him the safe way to turn! Have fun!

Did you happen to mention to yhour friend that his "free" lathe will end up costing him a fortune in chisels, chucks, chainsaws etc? The lathe is the least expensive part of the vortex
The hurrier I goes, the behinder I gets.
