    The floor's in !

We've got a floor ! ! ! We finished the foundation and got the heating lines installed and had enough daylight left to get the floor poured. I say "we", but all I did was write the check. I suppose if I hadn't done my part, nothing would have gotten finished.
I'm so glad that it's supposed to rain for the next couple of days so I won't be tempted to jump the gun and get started on the shell.

Jim, that radiant floor heating is going to be nice!! Off to a good start. Shouldn't you be working on the basement project while the weather is bad???? Keep the wife happy

The first thing that comes to mind -----must be nice.
Looks like you are going to have a dream shop.

Congrats! I remember when "we" got to the same point as you have ... the shop started to look smaller than I had envisioned!

    Rain, rain, go away....

Yeah. It looks like Mother Nature is scheduling a basement workday. Oh well, it's all gotta get done.

That's gotta be a great feeling!
    What is the square footage?

    Great feeling...

    Bruce,
This is the best time of all. The shop project has started and my imaginary shop in my head is still perfect, and the bills haven't started coming in yet.
When complete, the shop will be 40 x 32 for 1280 square feet in the shop and about 1100 square feet of usable space on the second floor.

1280 sq. ft I wouldn't know what to do with all that space - and I couldn't afford to stock it with the tools that would be required to just make it look right

On the other hand, that second floor would make for some nice wood storage if one had a real convenient way of getting it up there. Sounds like a lift of some sort should be in the plan!

I wouldn't know what to do with 1280 sf either but I'd sure like to find out!

    Keep us posted Jim!
