For some more believable info on the medicine net about PEG, read the info at this link

    http://www.medicinenet.com/polyethyl...al/article.htm

I certainly wouldn't call peanut butter poisonous either, would you ???

    PEG Toxicity

    Robert H.,

I just read through the MSDS on the Rockler site and do not know what you mean. There is no toxicity relative to PEG according to the MSDS. Anything in excess can be bad for you, even water. Leo also provided a good resource for more info on PEG.

If you have ever or will ever have a colonoscopy, PEG is a common cathartic used in the bowel prep for the procedure-cleans you right out.

Good discussion and good humor in this thread.
    Happy and Safe Turning, Don

I made chicken noodle soup for supper this evening. I was reading the ingredients list on the Chicken Boullion cubes as my son has food allergies. Polyethelene glycol is listed as an ingredient. Guess they don't want the soup getting bound up on the way through the plumbing.
If it ain't broke...fix it anyways...that's why you told your wife you needed all those tools.

My gramps' fav.....If you don't stop, you won't be stuck.

Oh......and most importantly........I am 362 miles mostly south and a little east of Steve Schlumpf.
