    Pass the tissues...

Sniff, sniff. My wife has a bad case of the sniffles and I thought it would be nice to make a tissue box cover for her. I've seen many great examples, but I was curious about attaching the top to the sides. Do I need to worry about wood movement if I use a solid wood top, or can I glue the top in place? I'm thinking about using 1/4" to 3/8" stock.

A tissue box I made of red oak, rabbet and glue has been in use for decades, in a bathroom where showers are taken. No failures. I did poly it.

Thanks Glenn. I'll give it a try and see how it works out.
