Flakes in Target WR4000

Does anyone have experience with the Target Coatings WR4000 clear stain base? I just bought my first can and see that there are flakes floating around in the liquid, which won't dissolve. I'm wondering whether this is normal, and I should just strain them out, or if the existence of the flakes means the product is defective.

I have not used that product, but I think you should call Target on Monday and get thier opinion. They will know it if it's defective and replace it. They have always been good about that type of thing for me.

I have used it once (still have most of my first gallon) and did not have any "floating flakes" in my can. I would call Jeff at Target and ask what is causing this.
