    Chair rail outside corner?

I have a room I am putting chair railing on, and i need the paneling to end on the outside corners in two spots exiting the room.

The paneling is 1/2" thick, with a rail on top and molding to give the block patterns. The problem though is I cannot seem to find a good way to finish on the outside corners. The outside corners are rounded to about a 1" radius, so a flush stop on the corner would be difficult to manage. Other idea is to make a column style end piece with a vertical piece of molding? Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures showing a way to finish this?

If your intent is not to wrap the corner and continue the railing and paneling, you could stop about 1.5" or 2" from the rounded corner and just do a simple return to finish the railing and paneling.
