    I would have done just that, but I couldn't find a bandsaw blade that was able to cut a 1/4" radius but was stable enough to resaw. It's just as well, because my 42" bandsaw has been out for repair.

    Not sure I understand. So if he had a 100" overall length, the center of each leg would be 10 1/2" from the end; or 21" from each end? I'm guessing the former?
    Also, how did you arrive at the 21% as opposed to 20% or 22%? Is there a formula or general rule (similar to the 1.618 ratio) that applies here?
