    Porter cable 7518

    MY 7518 conked out today. just started running slower then stopped.
    I think it might be brushes but who knows. i ordered a new one from amazon for $350 I hope i get more than 6 months out of this one.

    james the 7518 is a horse and yes it will be brushes and eventually a bearing, i have two that are over 9 years old that are still kicking well

    JIM M. thanks for the advice. MY new router showed up about 2 hours ago; I have already installed it and ran a small job. all is well. I ordered replacement brushes for the dead one. I will keep that as a back up. Jim J.

    I have had better luck with the brushes and bearings since I turned down the rpm to 10,000 or 12,000 and in some case had a better finish and with less nosie
