    Coopering a box lid

I have posted a pictorial in my blog at FWW..

Not sure that it should be in this forum as power tools are used equally with hand tools.

That's beautiful and inspiring. As usual, it makes me want to try one.

    I like it.

Lovely Derek. Clean and simple. Now you got me thinking about making some cookie jars.
    Thanks for sharing.

Always inspiring, Derek! Do you find the box to be top-heavy; does the base remain stable as the lid is raised?

Eric, can't wait to see how you morph this design into a cookie jar.

    Hi Danny

As I mentioned in the article, the lid tilts back and rests in the same plain as the base. As a result, while it is top heavy, it lies flat and does not lift up the base.

All, thanks for the kind words. The birthday party was a blast and the gift was a big hit with my brother.

    Regards from Perth

    Derek
