    Here's a stupid question from ignorant me, but are all slotted inserts a standard depth? I need to either buy or make some for my new, used saw, so it'd be nice to know.

    I've been looking at these Zayd from Lee Valley has anyone used them and if so what do you think of them?

    That's a good alternative, Andy. The only thing that would bug me is the six allen screws to switch out inserts (and the insert seems a little more complicated to fabricate).
