    A couple of my latest

Here's two bowls finished from the last haul of wood I got. The first one is Myrtle 8-3/4" by 2-1/2" by 1/4"finished with tung oil. The second one has to be one of the prettiest pieces of Redwood Burl I've got my hands on. Because the wood was so stunnig I kept the shape simple. It measures 11" by 1-3/4" by 1/4", finished with several coats of tung oil followed by several coats of poly. Both bowls still need buffing. As I get more bowls finished, I'll post them.

Nice work on both bowl Frank! That Myrtle sure is different! Interesting swirl pattern on the bottom! The redwood burl is one of those pieces that command attention! Beautiful bowl! I like the simple form - it works well! Looking forward to seeing more of your work real soon!

Beautiful bowls Frank. I like how you emphasized the grain in the redwood burl with a simple form.
