    Sign Height

I got my first job engraving door signs for a Dr.'s office. They also want me to install them, is there a standard height for signs?

    Bob,

ADA Door Signs should be installed at 60 inches to the center of the sign on the latch side of the door. I install mine about 9 inches from the door frame edge to the edge of the sign.

Thanks but these are not ADA signs. Just door signs!

If it is a smooth faced door 60" still should be about right. If it is a 6 panel door you may have to place where it works the best.

    Bob:
Is this a public building? You may need to check with the local authority. They may have to be ADA compliant. I been in lots of doctor's buildings and offices and I have never seen one that didn't have ADA signage.
