Millers Falls Miter Box Info Needed

I have around 4 of these now and I'm struck by the differences between them.
Is there a typing method to determine mfg dates? How about model information? I did find something that describes how the model (72/73/64/75) reflects the blade length. I am not sure about the other designation (2, 2 1/2) though.
I know there was some info online regarding these units (Randy Roeder) but I am unable to find out anything currently.

    Thanks for the info.

Based on the model numbers you listed that you're talking about MF Langdon Acme miter boxes. Try googling for a Miller Falls tool catalog, you should get some hits that may provide more info.

I looked at one of these PDFs once. I believe the model numbers ran from 68 (smallest) to 75 (largest). The 75 used a 30 inch saw, the 74 a 28. If they decrease by 2" for each, the 68 would use a 22" saw.

I saw the other model numbers too - 2, 2 1/2 etc referred to boxes sold without the saws.

Can't help you with dates though.

    Maybe try http://www.mwtca.org
