It didn't--you just don't know it yet. There is this little thing called a "wedding ceremony" which has a largish price tag on it...

    Congrats!

Does this mean you could have been buying more tools for the last 4-1/2 years if you popped the question sooner?
    What took you so long?

    Congratulations.

Getting married was the best thing I've ever done. I've always regretted not creating proper romance for the proposal. You've got it in spades man.

good job.. nice box, nice way to propose.

Yep, like John (post above), I didn't do it very romantically either and I hear about to this day (nine years later so far)

Congratulations. You prolonged the affair into an Austrailian engagement which last about 5 years to get to know each other... you dog. If she controls the purse before the legallity is effective.. go figure what will happen after. Knowing how a lot of guys are spending money on tools.. that might not be all that bad and becomes somewhat of a checks and balances thing to insure you eat and have a roof over your head before a tool purchase.

Seriously.. congrats and may you have a very happy life together...

the only way this story could be any better is if you had actually gotten the cherry lumber afterwards...real cheap.

I know... i know.... it was a vicious and cruel lie! but the sad part of the whole thing; it is TOTALLY something i would say, so I knew she would believe it.
