Best way to mount removable furniture feet

    Hello,

I'm building a sofa and will have metal legs that attach on the corners. One of the requirements is to have the feet removable via bolts.

The frame is made of wood. What's the best way to bolt the feet on and still have them removable? I was thinking of using teenuts but afraid they may come loose over time.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

T-nuts, set in epoxy, will work just fine. Although a real nut epoxied in will hold up better, in my opinion, if the feet will be removed and reattached a lot (which probably won't happen in real life for a sofa).

For bolts that must be installed and removed multiple times, particularly by non-woodworkers, I like brass threaded inserts. They're more expensive than T-nuts, but you don't need to bed them in epoxy to prevent them from falling out. http://www.mcfeelys.com/product/3606...hreaded-Insert You don't need to buy the offered driver. You can make one from a bolt and two nuts jammed together on it.
