    Cabinetmakers notebook.

    I know it's not a 'how to" but more of a "why to"....

    that being said, I love James's commentary about a small table he made. He was talking about working simpler and not trying to do something new or creative, but practical and functional. Then I looked at some of his pieces and I realized, in his style, less is more. His over all designs are simple, practical and functional. But not overdone and with minimal embellishments only where they are needed. By far his style speaks to me.



    Just an observation. Thought I'd share.

    Ditto. Every now and then I go back and flip the pages of his books if I hit a roadblock, need some inspiration or have a brain freeze. Amazing how something simple can provide so much inspiration.
    My full time job is getting in the way of my woodworking hobby.
