    Question Cutter head speeds?

I picked up a Yates 199 12" jointer with babbit bearings, anyone have any idea how many rpm's I could run the cutterhead? I sure hope the pic police don't catch me. Will post pics as soon as I can. OK Chris and Tyler.

    Thanks Tom

My Crescent 16", with babet bearings, is to run at 4000 rpm.

Search for info at Old Woodworking Machines. It is owwm. com or .org I can't remember which. They also have a calculator to tell you what size pulleys you need based on rpm, and motor speed.
