    Question Ryobi Drill Press

Anybody have one? Or know much about them? I am looking for a benchtop press, and have seen these around. What do you all think??

    I have the 10 in

OOOpps my bad, it's 12 inch, It's variable speed using a reeves drive and I love it. Does not take up much room and has done everyting I've asked of it. At 169 brand new not a bad deal either.

The Ryobi was on my list of benchtop DP's when I looked about 18 mos ago, as was the Delta, Hitachi, Craftman, Griz, Tradesman, and HF. The HF 38142 was on sale and faired well against the others from a glance...I took a chance, and have been pleasantly surprised by the power, smoothness, and overall value of it. My biggest complaint is that it's really tall for a bench model.
Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth....

I have one, not top of the line, but you know, it works great.
If I ran a production shop, I guess I wouldn't even consider one, but it does what I need it to do. Bang for the buck and all that.
