    Shop Tour / Get together

In an effort to find things to do to help continue and promote the Mid Atlantic ShopBot community.

Bill Young and I have set-up a shop tour of Norva Plastics in Norfolk Virginia we'll be taking a tour of their fabrication facility and then going to lunch afterwards.

Here are more of the details !

OK just got off the phone with Howard @ Norva Plastics and the date for a tour of his shop and the freebie plastic play pack of samples is :

    OCTOBER 3rd 2009 @ 10 am @ Norva Plastics 3911 Killam Ave. Norfolk, Va.

Ugh... tell them their website fails with Firefox

Still, if time permits, I'm up for it.

It's a little slow, but it does work on I.E.

It never fails to amaze me, that many companies hire some 'web guroooo' who has never used anything but microsoft products, and only test their sites with I.E. They remain totally unaware they are missing a HUGE number of potential customers that just 'surf - on' when they hit a cobb 'web' site.
If you have a site, test it on all major browsers. If you hired someone to build your site, and it won't work on all major browsers, ask for your money back.. however, it may never be enough to make up for the business you've lost
Epilog 24TT(somewhere between 35-45 watts), CorelX4, Photograv(the old one, it works!), HotStamping, Pantograph, Vulcanizer, PolymerPlatemaker, Sandblasting Cabinet, and a 30 year collection of Assorted 'Junque'

Every time you make a typo, the errorists win

I Have to think outside the box.. I don't fit in it anymore

    Experience is a wonderful thing.
It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

    Angus,

The Norva Plastics event is scheduled the same weekend as the Vectric Software Camp that James Mcgrew is hosting in South Carolina

Can you move the date up or back one week?

I wish I could Keith but the date is based on Howards ODU FootBall Season tickets, and this is the only 6pm game the rest start at 1p.

Bill Y will be covering this for those of you whom can't make it to SC. and I'll see ya'll in SC.

    Angus,

Did you know that Ed Lang and Jay Wyant are hosting a ShopBot Camp this Saturday the 12th?

I don't think that Ed announced it here at The Creek.
