Question Source(s) for teak lumber and marine plywood in metro Atlanta

    Hello, Everyone.

I am in the process of remodeling a small bathroom and am considering the idea of reproducing a small and custom fit vanity in either teak or marine plywood as a cabinet making project.

Can anyone tell me where I can obtain teak wood in solid (e.g., 3/4") and/or sheet form (teak plywood?) or marine plywood in the Atlanta metropolitan area?

I thought PeachState Kumber had everything but if not I would
call Woodcraft, Rockler, and Highland Hardware and ask for
    suggestions.
    Scott in Marietta

I had a similar project in mind as you because of the cheap particle
board used on the Vanities and I have one with the bottom one
inch swelled from moisture etc. I was going to just trim a few inches
off the bottom of the vanity, and add some water proof wood with a trim piece covering the joint. Rebuilding the whole thing wouldnt be any
more trouble or not much more. or I may use PVC around the floor...
    maybe use 1x3 etc.

Yes, I have a similar problem.

In my case, I recently purchased a house with a roof leak in the bathroom and the vanity had to be destroyed as part of the mold remediation.

Although it was made entirely from particle board, this small and attractive vanity was custom made for this small bathroom.

I thought that a teak vanity might be equally attractive and stand up to the moisture in the bathroom as well.

I will give Peach State Lumber and your other suggestions a try. (thanks)
