This is my first project made from the Tabletops that I picked up over the weekend.
Photo #3717 is of the carving before any finish work. as you can see in photo#3720 the grain was very rough in some places. In the remaining photos the finish is still wet.
I used some Blue stain in the sky, Can you tell?
The first two coats were water based sanding sealer, followed by the water based blue on the upper half only, then a dark brown deck gel stain that I cut with a water based red stain 25% red 75% brown gel.
The last stain was a antique maple gel.
For the final seal coat, I choose a gloss varnish
The overall size is 33.75 square the depth of the carve is .5 on .875 stock the file is from vector clip 3d
I used Aspire to process the file and it was cut on my Camaster with a PC 7518
The bits used where a .25 Compression for the profile
.5 compression for the rough 40% step over
.25 ball nose coated for the finish 6% step over
The file took just over 12 hours to complete.
