    Norm's Nest of Tables

I picked up a square chisel mortiser, and needed a good project to try it out on. I usually hate following plans (seems like it's "cheating"), but Norm's "Nest of Tables" seemed like it would be a fun, quick project.

My hardwood supplier had S3S 7/4 walnut on sale for $4/bf, in ~8" widths. My baby Laguna resawed this like butter. I still cringe to think how much of this beautiful wood got turned into dust by the planer...

I think I may have to go back and get a LOT more of this wood!

That turned out really really well!

Man, the quality of the projects I see on this board is fantastic.

Excellent Dan... and I would go back and get as much of that quality as your budget can take just before Xmas. And if you do.. tell "her" in advance as things just go smoother when you do..

    Well done....
