in search of a rip tenon saw

Hi All

I need a good rip tenon saw. I don't have the time for buying used so I am looking at the new market.

So far the models that interest me are:

the Latest LN 16" tenon saw with thinner plate.
The Wenzloff & sons from LV (14")
The Wenzloff & sons Keyon style (19")
The bad axe (16" or 18")

Price is not really an issue for this buy.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I have the Wenzloff Kenyon style 19 inch rip and it is the coolest saw I've ever put my hands on. Clearly my favorite and the extra size truly makes it easy to keep at 90 degrees.

I think all of them are great saws, I have the Adria and Bad Axe and love both but tend to grab the Bad Axe more and more, like it's biger size! So in my oppinion go big!

I think this is a factor being overlooked here. Several of the manufacturers mentioned don't make large tenon saws. There's a big difference between a 14" and 18" tenon saw. If I were looking for a big one I'd go with either the Bad Axe or Wenzloff myself.

Ed Paik at Medallion Toolworks will make any saw you want and it will fit your hand. Guaranteed! He is currently making me a couple of the big tendon saws. All the others I have gotten (six so far) are beautiful and cut great. (Sorry about the gloat, but I'm real happy about these saws).

An other thing to consider, is your sawing experience, I meen are you use to saw a lot by hand? Because some of the saws like the new LN with it's thin saw plate could be more prone to kink in the hand of a novice sawer.
