    Figured Maple Writing Desk

Here's yet another table. Made from western maple and finished with oil/poly. It's 6 feet long and about 18 inches wide.

Looks like you have a never ending supply of these maple slabs John.
And you are in high production mode....

Putting a stretcher with live edge adds to this piece.
    Another good job John.

Most of these latest tables have been half done most of the summer. My regular job slows down a little this time of year so I been throwing them all together. The guy I get the wood from has been collecting slabs for 35 years. Quite a stash.

I agree, the live edge on the stretcher adds to the piece. Too bad its not more visible, you have to lean down to see it.

John, why not turn down the live edge on the stretcher? That way, it would not collect as much dust and would be much more visible - at least in part.

Another great looking table ('cept you know how I feel on the inward canted legs)!!

You have quite a production line going there John. Uncle Sam could have used ya in WW II with the war production effort. Another nice looking table.

As the late Arte Johnson would say "very interesting." I like it.
