new entertainment center

Here is the entertainment center I just finished. I loved it before I put the finish on it and I still like it but not as much. Actually; after the first coat of oil based dye it was beautiful but too light to match our other furniture so I tried to darken it and everything went haywire. now its an uneven color but not as bad as it looks in the picture because of the flash.

Its 41" wide and 30" high. All recycled pine fronts, top and sides

All of my joints came out perfect. I just need a book on finishing.

No matter what. I still say its a lot better than the old entertainment center (shown on the right).

Keith, not a bad job at all! I think it turned out well, and while you may not be pleased with the finish - most will not notice.

BTW, your prior entertainment center "rocked!" (Just had to throw that in)

Nice Keith... I don't see the concern over the finish as you do as it looks fine to me.
