    Grizzly Japanese Mortising Chisel and Bits

    Good Afternoon,
    I am looking at the Japanese mortise chisel and bit sold by Grizzly (Pg 121 in 2009 cataloge) http://www.grizzly.com/catalog/2009/Main/121

    Does anyone have these and have some insight as to their quality?

    I bought some of those at the grizzly tent sale last year and love them. I can only compare them to the cheapo ones I was using before, but so far I have been very pleased.

    They look a lot like the Star brand Japanese chisels sold by Lee Valley, but about $10 less. I have a couple of the Lee Valley/Star and they work very well, even better than domestic chisels. If the Grizzlys are Star brand you should be happy with them.

    John, do they have any brand name or ID on them?
