    stand-up thingies for picture frames

I have been asked to make some picture frames (4x6) and I need some of those things that hold the pic in place and act as a stand too. I have done some searches but came up empty. Anyone have a source for them that you can share?

    Randy,

Can you cut them yourself? I have gotten some easel.cdr files off the creek.

I did knock some up, but alas the CDR file was on my nicked laptop...maybe somebody else downloaded the file and can repost it

The download on that thread doesn't work as the domain expired. *sigh* But you can use the pictures to knock up some more in the worst case.

Are you talking about the cardboard that actually goes in the frame? I have seen those that are made from a piece of die cut cardboard without real hinges. I would find a frame that has that item in it, scan it, use the scan to create a vector, and cut it from heavy cardboard. Probably would have to crease the hinge point with something. With a little trial and error could probably design something that would work with out using a scan. Don't even have a guess where to buy them alone.

Yes, Tom the cardboard inserts that have a leg that folds out to support the pic and frame when it is sitting on a table. Thank you all for the links to plans for easels but I have plenty of them. I can probably design and cut something myself but I really wanted something that would give my projects a finished professional look. I’ll keep searching I’m sure there is a place that I can get them.

You should be able to pick them up at any framing shop (and possibly art store). Online I've used both Dick Blick and Framing Supplies. I can't vouch their easel back in particular since I've never purchased them but they are both reputable businesses.

    4x6 pic stand

Okay here is what I came up with. I am going to try to cut this out myself after the holiday’s, but if anyone would like to try it here is the Corel drawing that I did. Instructions are on the page and are set for Universal lasers. I would still like to find a place to purchase these already made so if anyone knows of a wholesaler I would appreciate a link.

Looks like the price might be better here:
